Set Lunch....see the plate of veg there? it is at a special price of $1, but it is not as 'big' as the promotional pix...was caught quite by surprise.
The red curry beef was tough....disappointing....

typical CNY goodies - pineapple tarts

my fave & i can eat a whole tub before cny 1st day :)
until there was this year where i made so many so many that i got turned off for like 3 years ...didn't touch them....at all

i bou this bcos the container is very useful, can recycle. I also prefer open-type rather than the closed ones....

this is a very neat display....they were eaten until the last row in the container.
i find the tarts tasted a bit funny....rather salty...


i still prefer homemade tarts :) i can put my best butter in and they will taste heavenly......maybe will consider making next year....

a brief intro to bun


Basic buns are usually made from flour, butter, sugar, eggs and yeast.
A bun usually comes with a flat bottom, if sugar is added, it is a sweet bun. If sugar is not added, fillings can be a replacement to make it sweet or savory.
