hainanese chicken rice - Chicken

how to make the chicken

ingredient:

Large whole chicken (2 kg)

Ginger, bruised

Garlic, crushed

Sesame oil

Spring onion


method:
  • Boil the water in a large pot big enough to hold the chicken.

  • Clean the chicken.

  • Add in ginger and garlic to the chicken in the pot.

  • Carefully, put in the chicken into the boiling water.

  • Cover and heat for 2-3 minutes. Turn off the heat.

  • Open the pot and put in the spring onion.
  • Let the chicken cool in the covered pot for 45 minutes.
  • Remove and hang chicken to dry.
  • Brush it with a mixture of sesame oil.
