This duck rice stall in east coast food centre was the few that were opened on a Monday lunch time. Business was brisk when we arrived. Plenty of seats available. A bit humid but tolerable. Parking is just beside with automatic charging. If you are looking for a quiet place for lunch on the east side without jostling around with the lunch crowd, this is a good choice.

Alfresco dining with seaview - Chit's Bar & Restaurant
Looking for alfresco dining by the beachfront?
This is the right place to go. Go early to catch the beautiful sunset followed by dine in candle lights and view of planes either landing / taking off depending on the wind direction for the day.
Do ask for seats right next to the sea. Remember to choose a rain-free evening and spray some insect repellent when you are there. A extensive menu of choice.

Jumbo Seafood Gallery
This place was fully booked on a Sat evening. There were two seating timings for customers one at 6pm, another at 7:30pm.
We opted for the earlier session and they have indoor and outdoor dining. Outdoor dining can start earlier compared to indoor (aircon) which only operates from 6pm.
The serving of the food is quite small. The crowd is generally tourists.
The experience was quite good except that my tea cup stink (a smell that was not wash properly) and I requested to change.

Lunch Adam Centre - Selera Rasa Nasi Lemak
Today we finally got a chance to visit this famous stall.
A long queue was already in place when we arrived.
Of course I quickly join the queue to cut down the waiting time.
There were 3 helpers serving the customers but still be prepared to wait.
The macik taking order was very friendly.
This set costs $3.50 for having there. The chilli was yummy. The rest were quite normal. I will not go back purposely to eat this.

Review - Prata Wala @ NEX
Today we chose to have breakfast at Prata Wala at about 10am.
But it was quite a big disappointment.
Although the wait for the food wasn't long, but the curry was not hot at all.
As there were not many customers at that time, it led me to wonder if I am eating leftover from last night.
There is nothing unique on the food, but the prices were much higher than those at the food court.

First try at Tim Ho Wan @ PS
After much reviews and raves, we decided to find time for this....
a must-try is of course the baked pork bun....
a true enough, it wasn't a let down
though my little boy (13yrs old) who is used to the traditional steamed (white) char siew bao is not a fan after trying. Little boy is also disappointed that they do not served egg tarts.
The quality is definitely a thumb-up. Every item is very smooth and soft to the taste.
This mushroom chicken steam rice is yummy on the first bite. The smoothness of the food is like melting in the mouth. The fun thing is subsequent bite did not give the same taste feeling. (口感)
The layout is very simple
The father wanted to try the steam cake.
We went on a weekday lunch at about 1pm+ hoping for a not-too-long queue.
We waited for 15-20 mins before we got a seat.
Be prepared to wait.
Btw, plain water is chargeable.
