lunch at kbox

curry rice....
the rice was terrible sticky
chicken rice
chilli is quite good
rice is at least edible thou only with sesame oil taste
both chicken meat are tough

hainanese chicken rice - Chicken

how to make the chicken

ingredient:

Large whole chicken (2 kg)

Ginger, bruised

Garlic, crushed

Sesame oil

Spring onion


method:
  • Boil the water in a large pot big enough to hold the chicken.

  • Clean the chicken.

  • Add in ginger and garlic to the chicken in the pot.

  • Carefully, put in the chicken into the boiling water.

  • Cover and heat for 2-3 minutes. Turn off the heat.

  • Open the pot and put in the spring onion.
  • Let the chicken cool in the covered pot for 45 minutes.
  • Remove and hang chicken to dry.
  • Brush it with a mixture of sesame oil.

i didn't really like the soup...very sourish....but maybe helps to cut away the oily feeling

Dinner at kopitiam Sembawang

the curry was a bit sourish at first...
after a while...can't really tell
and it was really spicy...which i liked :)

we went to AMK mcd for breakfast
carpark was full but we didn't wait too long before we got a lot

the queue was very long at the counter...
after a while, we realised that the kitchen couldn't cope - don't sure why
finally when ordered and got our food
but see this
the fillet o fish was overly cooked...
